Transit of Mercury 11th November 2019

WYAS will be observing the transit of Mercury across the face of the Sun from

12.30pm at Anglers Country Park, Wintersett, WF4 2EB.

The planet Mercury will begin to pass across the face of the Sun at 12.35pm and will be able to be observed until sunset.  We will be there with telescopes fitted with solar filters so the Sun and Mercury can be viewed safely.

We will also be bringing meteorites and Aurora Planetarium will be putting on free planetarium shows.

Come along and see us there cool
